Bear

Bear arrived at NSWAR from a NSW council pound.

This pup presented to NSWAR with a penetrating leg injury, and
radiology of the leg revealed no fractures and no foreign objects.

We do not know the cause of the leg injury to this beautiful boy.

Bear had significant soft tissue damage and infection to his leg
which has now been resolved.

This seriously ill boy was on intravenous fluids and antibiotics
for almost one week.

The muscles in Bear's injured leg had begun to atrophy and he required
extensive physiotherapy in order to walk.

Bear was at NSWAR in our special needs unit for many weeks.

Treatment of animals like Bear is expensive, and if you would
like to sponsor a bed in our intensive care area, please contact us.

All sponsorships are acknowledged by a plaque in our special needs area.
